Machine Overview
This machine is designed to polish stone spheres for fountain installations. In addition to gloss, these spheres require consistent roundness for smooth operation on their fountain bases. Compound-rotation polishing helps reduce the variation in roundness and finish associated with manual polishing, providing a more consistent basis for matching the sphere to its base.
Workpieces & Applications
Suitable for stone fountain spheres used in landscaping, water features and visitor attractions, including batch production and custom orders. The process should be confirmed using sample workpieces, taking account of sphere size, stone type and base requirements.
Core Process
- Compound rotation: processes the spherical surface with attention to both roundness and gloss.
- Fountain compatibility: improves surface consistency to support an even water film and smooth sphere movement.
- Reverse-rotation recovery: automatically restores operation after unintended reverse rotation of the sphere.
Key Features
- Roundness control: reduces surface variation caused by relying solely on manual judgement.
- A better basis for fountain operation: improves the spherical surface to help address sticking, wobbling and uneven movement caused by inconsistent roundness. Final operation also depends on the base, water film and water supply.
- Consistent appearance: improves gloss uniformity across batches of landscape spheres.
- Less repetitive work: converts sustained manual sphere polishing into a machine process.
